2007-12-19 | Simulation with abstract RTOS models in SystemC
Complex control oriented embedded systems with hard real-time constraints require real-time operation system (RTOS) for predictable timing behavior. Selecting the correct scheduling strategy is essential. Implementations with interrupts allows an immediate reaction on external signals, but interrupts complicate the predictability of deadlines as they do not rely on the RTOS scheduling decisions.
In this report we present a method for abstract simulation of a real-time operating system on top of the System Level Design Language SystemC.
